Shareholder, warantholder and share scheme participant data: shareholder holding reference number, bank account details, the number, type and value of shares, warrants, shares options and/or awards held and where applicable the votes cast.
Technical data: internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this website.
Usage data: information about how you use our website.
Communications data: all communications we have with you whether by email, post, phone or otherwise.
Current or former Trustpilot Group employee data: employee ID number, bank account details, tax information and tax ID numbers of current or former employees or directors of Trustpilot or any of its subsidiaries from time to time.
2. How is your personal data collected?

We may receive personal data about you from various third parties and public sources, such as shareholder registrars, financial service providers, analytics, storage, tools and media providers, email distribution and service providers, providers of data feeds and hosting services, social media and media networks, etc.

We will only process personal data where we have a genuine need to do so and in line with our obligations under data protection laws. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:
Where we need to perform a contract we are about to enter into or have entered into with you.
Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests or those of a third party.

For the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, where necessary.
4. Purposes for which we will use your personal data

5. Disclosures of your personal data

Internal Third Parties (Including Trustpilot subsidiaries and other companies within the Trustpilot group).
External Third Parties: shareholder registrars, digital service providers acting as processors, who provide a number of services, including but restricted to data feeds, hosting, SSL, data analysis, CRM, video streaming, social media and sharing services.
Professional advisers including lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers who provide consultancy, banking, legal, insurance and accounting services.
Regulators and other authorities who require reporting of processing activities in certain circumstances.
Third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer, or merge parts of our business or our assets. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with them. If a change happens to our business, then the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this privacy notice.
We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with applicable privacy laws. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

Time limit to respond
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month, as prescribed by law. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
10. Children’s information
This website is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from such children. If you become aware that a child under the age of 16 has provided us with their personal data, please contact us using the contact information provided below.

We may change this notice from time to time. Laws, regulations, and industry standards evolve, which may make those changes necessary, or we may make changes to our services or business. We will post the changes to this page and encourage you to review our Privacy notice to stay informed.
